In the early years, we were taking our kids to Camp Sunshine in Arkansas. After returning from Little Rock one year, Scotty was doing an interview about it on a Tulsa local news show. There just happen to be a nice fellow watching the news that night. This gentleman contacted the Fire chief requesting to get into contact with it’s organizer’s . Upon meeting this man, he requested that we look at his facility and consider doing a camp here in Oklahoma. As you always here it said,”and the rest is history”. This nice fellow was Pastor Willie George with “The Church on the Move.” As for the facility, only the most incredible and best suited establishment for a burncamp that has ever been built. –DRY GULCH U.S.A.– Now the cool points that this place gets for the old west town look and feel are pretty high. Then you have to consider the air conditioned bunks, on site water park, full size movie theater, two go-cart tracks, horseback riding, carousel, inflatables, two full size arcades,arts and crafts, full access to Lake Hudson, wake boarding, fishing, tubing, dancing, karaoke, ect. Then when you consider the staff at Dry Gulch and the fact that we have the entire place to ourselves. The way that we are accepted and treated by Pastor Kirby and his staff is beyond any words that I have. I can not begin to express the appreciation that we have for this incredible facility and all that are involved. Our camp is the very best camp in the country because of this awesome place. If by any chance you know someone with Dry Gulch or Church on the Move, I ask you to please let them know how beautiful that this facility is how much we appreciate them!
