Once again the mud run was lots of fun and a huge success. Brian with Runner’s World and his volunteer’s designed and implemented a killer course. It proved to provide more fun and more mud than what any kid young or old could refuse. Regardless of the extreme heat, we had over 2200 participants. The support of the Tulsa Fire Dept. and the current recruit class proved priceless as we had all of the water we needed to maintain all of the mud. The firemen laid out over a mile of fire hose throughout the course to provide the water we needed.(hydrants were metered and water was bought from the City) Once the storm and the run was over, the recruits continued to volunteer their time and proved to be priceless again as we cleaned up afterwards. There were a countless number of volunteers that gave up a huge part of their personal time to make this event the huge success that it was. The BurnCamp E-board would like to thank everyone involved in this event. The success of this event has greatly improved the security of and the ability to continue taking care of our campers. We certainly look forward to the future of this event as it gets bigger and better each year . Big Ron Mud Run 2011
